Amy’s Thread: Great Work from Indy Designers

Beautiful work by Independent Designers gets published everyday, we try to highlight as many as we can in our Designer Spotlight series and in my occasional Designer to Watch Series. Here is a short list of a standouts we didn’t get to talk enough about from 2015.

The Swope Cowl by Whitney Hayward, knit in Berroco Ultra Alpaca. Hard to resist this one it has easy to work chevrons with an attractive wrong side.

Sugared Maple by Melissa Schaschwary knit in Berroco Artisan. A lovely pair of textured Mitts to sweeten your midwinter-wardrobe.

Dado by Christina Ghirlanda knit in Berroco North Star. A sophisticated draped-front wrap with surprisingly simple construction.

Whisper Tassel Wrap by Charyl Kubat, knit in Berroco Cirrus. A sweet scarf that gets the right balance of fun and stylish.

Baby Kylie Jacket but Ann Klimpert knit in Ultra Alpaca Fine. Squishy garter stitch, simple stripes, and a great use for a few treasured buttons.
