What to Knit: Cambria

The first thing I noticed about Cambria was her height. Of course, it didn’t help that she was standing next to Norah! Cambria had warned us about her 6 ft frame before agreeing to be our What to Knit model, but we were up to the challenge and confident that a number of our new patterns would look great on her.

In addition to being tall, Cambria is beautiful and talented. She’s an aspiring knitwear designer who works and teaches at Bella Yarns in  Rhode Island. So she came to us with a pretty good idea of what she likes in a handknit sweater. But I think she was pleasantly surprised by a couple of the designs!

Cambria tried on LeylandCarcrossMorindaPerineGibson & Hume – all patterns from our Fall/Winter ’13 collection. See which style she liked best…

Want to be the star of our next What to Knit video? You’ll get to spend the day with the Berroco Design Team being styled by Norah. We’ll also have a professional hair and make up artist there to make sure you look and feel your best on camera!

Who We’re Looking for:

  1. a woman 18 years or older
  2. someone who lives in the Rhode Island area or can easily travel to Rhode Island
  3. daytime availability M-F (we’ll be shooting sometime this fall, TBD)

How to Enter:

Please send at least one full length picture of yourself to apalumbo@berroco.com. Be sure to include your name, age, typical clothing size(s) and where you’re from. All entries must be received by Thursday, August 22nd.

  1. Is there a recommended size range? When I sent in a pic earlier this spring, there was a suggested range of 12-14. (I’ve been losing weight, so I’m not that size any more.)
