We’re kicking off our fall knit-along (KAL) in just a couple of weeks, so here’s all the info you need to know to participate!
Patterns: Your choice of patterns from Berroco Portfolio Volume 4 (pssst, you could win a copy of the book via this giveaway post). The patterns are available as individual PDFs or as a PDF collection. Or ask your local yarn store if they have the print book available!
Yarns: You can use your choice of Berroco Ultra® Wool, Berroco Ultra® Alpaca, or Berroco Vintage®. Use our Store Locator to find the store nearest you carrying any of those yarns.
Start Date: Friday, September 15
End Date: Friday, November 17
How to join: Head over to the Berroco Lovers group on Ravelry and say hi! We’re an informal bunch. You can also sign up for the special knit-along newsletter—it’s just ten emails, one each week during the knit-along, that delivers content to help you knit any of the projects in the book and help you stay motivated throughout the knit-along period. Joining the mailing list is 100% optional. For extra credit, post about your KAL progress on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) with the hashtag #PV4KAL and tagging @berrocoyarn in your posts.

HI Deborah! Make sure you leave your comment on the giveaway post as well to be entered into the drawing.
Love, love these! I have one question: When your pattern(s) say, “This garment was designed with approximately 4” of ease,” does that mean the sweater will measure the given number of inches when finished (so you should select the size for your measurement plus 4”) or it will measure the given number of inches plus 4 inches?
Hi Ann,
The finished measurements listed in the pattern are the finished measurements of the garment. You should select the size for your measurement plus 4″. We have a blog post with more information on this: https://blog.berroco.com/2017/08/23/understanding-ease-in-knitting-and-crochet-patterns/.
