More things to knit with Mixer and the giveaway winner

Congratulations to Janet, the winner of the Annie’s Signature Collection giveaway! Berroco Mixer™ was the big hit of the Berroco 2015 Spring line, and since then, Berroco has published 16 free and paid patterns for this yarn. This week I’ve rounded up some pattern suggestions from the newest collection that weren’t written for Mixer but would be amazing in this yarn.

When looking for patterns for Mixer start simple—this is an interesting yarn with interesting textures, and it produces a devoré fabric that makes stockinette or garter stitch pop!Screenshot 2017-03-06 12.14.59

Patterns like Bice or Renata from Corsica Vol 2 or Altiplano from Mykonos Vol 2 would be great in Mixer. Renata you could simplify even more by simply working in 1 color and swap the 1×1 rib for a garter stitch.

Mixer brings a bit of bling too—perfect for accessories. A simple cowl or small scarf worked in Mixer is like jewelry. Patterns like Olca from Mykonos Vol 2 or Trista from the Pima 100 collection make perfect small projects for Mixer. Or go big and work up a Bitterroot Shawl from booklet Suede 2017 in Mixer—added bonus, Mixer makes the most fabulous fringe.

Have you tried Mixer? What did you make? We’d love to hear your ideas.
