Berroco Bingo is Here!

We’re excited to announce our new summer promotion—Berroco Bingo! Designed to be a fun way for you to interact with Berroco and your local yarn stores, Berroco Bingo is easy to play and offers a chance to win an incredible prize.

At the end of Berroco Bingo, we’ll randomly select ten winners to receive one of our grand prizes. Every winner will receive one copy of each of our 9 new pattern books—including Portfolio Vol 2—along with enough Berroco yarn to knit a Berroco project of their choice, all packaged in one of our Berroco project bags (you can see what they look like in our post from TNNA). These books have started shipping out to yarn stores around the country, and starting next week, we’ll have individual pattern PDFs available to purchase via the Ravelry In-Store program, but here’s a peek at the covers.

So how can you enter to win one of the grand prizes? It’s easy! To start with, head to your local yarn store—many stores have or will soon receive a set of Berroco Bingo tearsheets to give out. But hurry—each set only has 20 bingo sheets, and we have a limited supply of the sets. If your store doesn’t have the Berroco Bingo tearsheets, or if you don’t have a store near you, you can head to Berroco.com to download your own Bingo sheet.

Bingo CardUnlike “traditional” Bingo, in which you would be asked to mark off 5 items in a row, Berroco Bingo asks you to mark off any 10 items on the sheet. The tasks available to choose from are simple—if you follow your LYS on Facebook, or start following them because of this promotion, you can mark that off! No purchase is necessary to participate in this game, but there are two tasks for buying Berroco yarn—if you choose to do so (and when you see our new Fall yarns, I suspect that you will want to), please hold on to your receipts.

Berroco Bingo starts as soon as you get a Bingo sheet, and ends August 31, 2016. You can either mail your completed Bingo card to the address listed on the back of the sheet, or submit electronically (there is a link on the back of the sheet, or you can also find the link at Berroco.com). If you purchased Berroco yarn as part of the game, please send in copies of your receipts, or take pictures and upload them along with your completed Bingo sheet. Be sure to mail or upload your completed cards no later than August 31, as we will be selecting winners in early September.

If you are submitting your card electronically, please be sure to upload an image of the completed card! You can take a photo with your phone or tablet device, and use the upload form just below the email entry to attach the image.Screen Shot 2016-06-23 at 9.51.41 AM

We hope you’ll play along with us this summer and get involved with your local yarn store and Berroco!

  1. Awesome I have been had at work!
I have a question if I just went to a new yarn store on the 17 does that count for the new yarn store? I visit all my locals all the time but I was on vacation last week so I went to some there.

    1. Hey Kim! Sure, that works. Or you could use this as an excuse to go on another vacation. 🙂

  2. For swatching with a new Berroco yarn, do we need to use one introduced for Fall 2016, or can we swatch with a yarn introduced for Spring 2016?

    1. Hi Jamie! We’d certainly prefer that you use one of the new fall yarns, as they’re awesome and we think everyone will love them, but a new Spring yarn will work as well! That’s Berroco Mykonos, Berroco Corsica, or Berroco Elba. Thanks for playing!

  3. This bingo card has been so much fun! I finally downloaded it and have already completed so many squares. It really made me think about some of the fun stuff I could be doing – and using!

  4. Just got my card today and have five squares checked off already. Looking forward to completing the next five!

  5. Just saw Linus in my LYS. Found a tee shirt pattern called Ona – finally a pattern with sleeves that are long enough – really tired of cap sleeve tee patterns.

    1. Hi Beverly! I’m so happy to hear you want to share Berroco Bingo with your customers. You can order Bingo Sheets by contacting our customer service office, or getting in touch with your yarn rep.

  6. This is an awesome promotion! I found out about Berroco Bingo when I stopped in a random yarn shop in Saint John, Canada during my cruise vacation with my mom. I already use Berroco yarn for most of my baby projects and this game was a great way for me to connect to Berroco and my local yarn shop, as well as, learn more about other knitting and crocheting projects through Ravelry. Thank you so much! 🙂 I hope I’m chosen as one of the winners of the grand prize so I can check out the latest Berroco patterns.

  7. I just purchased 20 skeins of Tivoli on 6/8 for a fall jacket project. I don’t see a time frame for purchases. Does that fall into the allowable time frame?

    1. Hi Patti,

The time frame would be okay, but Tivoli is not a Berroco yarn, so you’d need to purchase a Berroco yarn if you wanted to mark off that square on BERROCO BINGO.

    2. Oops. *red face* I ordered that one and a Berroco yarn. Got them mixed up. Sorry. And thank you for the response.
