Cookie A, a designer famous for her amazingly architectural sock designs, recently released a fantastic new collection of knitting patterns. Cookie A Knitwear Volume 1: Shapes + Form features thirteen garments and accessories constructed in unusual ways, with lots of textural accents (all photography by Laura Kicey).
Each item in the collection is beautiful, but at Berroco we have a special favorite: Quotient. We may be biased about this, because Quotient is knit in Ultra Alpaca… This jacket’s unconventional construction is balanced by a calm, neutral yarn shade, and a simple but visually striking stitch pattern.
I love how the stitch pattern’s lines run horizontally across the upper back, then vertically down the rest of the body:
