Did you hear the news today?
Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow! Which means an EARLY SPRING!

While fall and winter are a knitter’s season, we are so ready for an early spring. Spring in New England is the kind of season where weather is simply unpredictable. As makers, we love a good garment that we can throw on and off as needed! Which is why cardigans are the best projects to knit for spring.
Here are the patterns that are ending up on our short list:

Conus in Bozzolo is a cropped cardigan with a cozy shawl collar. Color is always good for a mood boost and the bright shades of Bozzolo won’t disappoint. Plus this 100% cotton yarn is beyond soft.

Montreal is the kind of cardigan that you’ll want to wear everyday. Its simple 2×2 ribbing creates a classic fabric that works with so many outfits. Knit in Modern Cotton DK, the blend of Pima cotton and Modal rayon make it perfectly soft.

Malta is a flattering cropped cardigan. Knit with Splash, it features dolman sleeve shaping and 3/4 sleeves. Splash is made with viscose and cotton which gives this cardigan a light feel.

Sintra in Gaia is a sophisticated textured cardigan. With half sleeves and a darling garter stitch collar, this classic cardigan will add some polish to your spring wardrobe.

Last but certainly not least is Bethan in Renew! This cardigan is for all of us who are cold “all year round”. Renew is made with recycled cashmere, wool, viscose and nylon, thus creating a fabric that is not too hot and not too cold. The deep v-neck and all over texture gives it an elegance even when all we want is comfort.
I think we can all agree there’s a cardigan for everyone. Find the patterns at Berroco.com and shop yarn at your favorite Berroco retailer!
Happy Making!
