Have you made something with Lucca yet? This yarn joined the Berroco line a couple seasons ago, but it’s my latest obsession! It is a luxurious blend of 50% cashmere and 50% cotton, spun into a round multi-strand yarn with a fabulous stitch definition. Spun by a long-time Berroco partner mill in Italy, the cashmere portion is all recycled fiber!
With such a great composition, Lucca lends itself perfectly for elevated, timeless garments and the most luscious accessories.
Lucca is also the perfect option for those extra special handmade gifts!
We put together some of our best ideas:
1 ball projects:

Our latest free pattern Sprague is a classic unisex beanie that can be made with just one ball (unfolded brim version). For the folded brim version, you will get two hats out of three balls. I plan to make these for everyone!

The Keats accessory set is another great option. The hat or mitts can each be made from just one ball.

And let’s not forget the ever-popular Sophie scarf, designed by PetiteKnit. This pattern has been on Ravelry’s “Hot Right Now” list all year, and would make a great gift. Lorenette made the larger size out of one ball of Lucca.

The sweet Lakewood Layers cowl, designed by Amelia of Freeman’s Creative cleverly uses one ball of Lucca paired with a small amount of a fluffy lace or fingering weight yarn, perfect for using up some remnants!
3-4 ball projects:
(These would also make excellent kits for your bestie maker!)

The striking Kasiani cowl is fun to knit in a mosaic colorwork pattern.

Aneta is a sweet crochet triangle shawl, made with 3 balls of Lucca. Get the free pattern here.
And last but not least, here are some pattern ideas for you! Add the yarn to your wish list, and save these patterns for when all the gifts are done!

Shortest Day , designed by Amy Christoffers, is a free pattern from Knitty, made with 6 balls of Lucca.

A stunning sweater with all the sleeve drama, The Muse was designed by Norah Gaughan for Vogue Knitting Magazine.

Neri is a sweet cardigan, with a stockinette front and delicate lace back has been on my list for a while!
