My heart skipped a beat when I opened my email the other day and saw these gorgeous mittens knit by Churchmouse Yarn and Teas.
The Hanne Mittens are a free pattern from the Knitbits newsletter—they take just 1 skein each of two colors of Berroco Ultra Alpaca or Ultra Alpaca Tonal. You can download the PDF from our website or take the guess work out of selecting the colors and select from one of the six options available as a kit from Churchmouse.
Knitted up in the iconic Norweigian combination of black and white, these warm cozy mittens are instant heirlooms but if colorwork not your speed? We have plenty more mitten/mitt and glove patterns for you to choose from at Berroco.com. From the patterns tab on the homepage select “project type: Gloves/Mittens”. You have the option to filter these results by yarn or for only free patterns. You can also click here to go directly to the search filter.

JUST GORGEOUS! Had a pair in red and white as a kid … Feeling nostalgic as I live in FLORIDA now!
Stunning! I really must take time this coming new year to learn how to knit mittens. It’s been on my to do list way to long.
