CLOSED Giveaway: Interweave Presents Classic Crochet Shawls

This giveaway is closed! Congrats to our lucky winner Pat.

We’ve got another book from Interweave/F+W Media to giveaway this week! This one is for all you crochet shawl fans (which should really be most of you, because they’re so pretty!).

Interweave Presents: Classic Crochet Shawls (Interweave/F+W Media, 2017) is a compilation of twenty fan-favorite crocheted shawls. The shawls come from books that were published by Interweave/F+W Media over the last few years, as well as some from Interweave Crochet magazine.

The shawls are all gorgeous, demonstrating a variety of crochet techniques, from broomstick lace in Brenda K. B. Andersen’s Flying Broomstick Lace Shawl, to filet crochet in Kathryn White’s Eolande shawl.

There are examples of beaded crochet, as in Kathryn White’s Emergence shawl and Jennifer Raymond’s Torchlight shawl, as well as shawls that use those beautifully colored skeins of stash yarn, such as Kristin Omdahl’s Blue Lagoon shawl.

We’re so pleased to have a project that uses Berroco yarn not only included, but on the cover of the book! Sara Kay Hartmann’s Endymion Shawl uses 10 hanks of Berroco Captiva® Metallic in a lacy fan pattern to create a generous wrap with just a hint of glitz.

To celebrate the release of this romantic collection, we’re giving away a copy of the book plus enough Berroco Captiva® to make your own. Captiva is the same yarn as Captiva® Metallic, just with a little less sparkle (though still plenty of glitz).

It’s easy to enter! All you have to do is leave a comment letting us know which shade of Captiva you’d use to make your own Endymion shawl. You’ve got fourteen shades to choose from,  so good luck narrowing it down to just one! All comments must be left before 11:59 pm EST on Sunday, August 27. This giveaway is open to anyone in the world ages 18 and older.

If you’d like to get your own copy of Classic Crochet Shawls, you can find it on Amazon ( Kindle | print ) or on the Interweave Store ( print | eBook )

  1. oh my gosh how I am supposed to pick just one shade?! I can’t make a decision right now but my top two favorites are Thistle and Sapphire

  2. Beautiful patterns here. I’ve used Captiva in a wrap for my daughter. It would be lovely to have one for myself…..in Fig or Steel.

  3. It’s Antique Copper for me. As pretty as all of the colors are, I love the shimmering warmth of Antique Copper.

  4. I would love Antique Copper as it would go nicely with jeans and black slacks/skirt. Thank you.

  5. It would be great to win the book as the contest closes on my birthday (we won’t talk about which birthday!). Such lovely colours in copper, bronze & steel but the sapphire has captivated me !

  6. I would use the color Saphire to make my own version of the Endymion. It is close to my hubby’s favorite color.

  7. oh so wonderful, the Garnet is my favourite!!! Thinking of lovely Autumn walks wrapped in a garnet shawl!

  8. So many choices I’m loving both antique copper and fig. But I would choose fig it just feels perfect for fall.

  9. I like Seedling. The colors are all gorgeous, but that would work best with my wardrobe and it’s so spring-like and fresh!

  10. I have a hard time choosing between Bronze and Fig, but I think I’d go with the more neutral Bronze. Thanks for the opportunity!

  11. Oh! So HARD to choose!! They are all beautiful. I’ve narrowed it down to either Thistle or Antique Copper. And I would love to make the Endymion Shawl, among others 🙂
