Disney Classic Crochet Giveaway

We don’t often get yarn requests like the one Megan Kreiner sent last April. She had just landed a contract for an exciting project with Disney and needed one skein of each of our Vintage yarn colors as soon as possible. We happily obliged because we love Megan’s work…and who doesn’t love Disney?

It took a few tries, and some additional shades of Berroco Comfort and Berroco Ultra Alpaca, but Megan eventually got the mouse ears of approval for all of her yarn color combinations.

Megan’s book, Disney Classic Crochetis now available, featuring 12 patterns for some of the company’s most beloved characters. That includes Goofy, Pinocchio, Lady, Jiminy Cricket, and Chip ‘n’ Dale – all made with Berroco yarns! In addition to crochet instructions, each project has text and photo tutorials for assembling the pieces and achieving all of the design details.

Bonus FREE Pattern: Gus Gus from Cinderella

Gus Gus is another adorable design that Megan crocheted in Berroco yarn. It didn’t make the book, but Megan (and the great people at Disney) decided to share the pattern for free online!

Enter our Disney Classic Crochet Giveaway!

We’re giving away two copies of Megan’s book and the yarn to make her Chip ‘n’ Dale pattern!

  1. My favorite character is Mickey, especially in his wizard outfit. I’ve loved him since I was a little girl and if I’m having a bad day, all I have to do is see him or hear his voice and everything is suddenly better.

  2. Not sure what it says about me, but my favorite character is Eeyore. Yup, that gloomy donkey just makes me smile. “Looks like earthquake weather.”

  3. My favorite character is Pooh. My first Christmas ornament was of Pooh. I still have him and he is 37 years old. I never got to go to Disney World when I was little, so he was my little part of what my friends got to do on their trips and vacations.

  4. My favorite character has always been Goofy. I honestly don’t know why, I guess I just felt a connection to him; to this day,at age 34, I still imitate his laugh.

  5. I love Chip n Dale because of a cartoon they were in and a little thing they did with an apple core and Donald Duck.

  6. My fav would have to be chip and dale. I remember laughing so hard as a kid watching them. Actually now too, as an adult. ( My guilty pleasure is watching kids cartoons from back in the day)

  7. I love everything Disney! But my all time favorite character has to be Winnie the Pooh. He’s always so positive and sweet. For a bear with very little brain, he gives some wonderful advice and has terrific insight.

  8. It’s been so long since I’ve watched any Disney movies. I can’t recall having a favorite character… but if I had to choose one, I’d say Winnie the Pooh. Silly old bear!

  9. This is great! I’m so excited. My favorite Disney character is Donald Duck. He was my dad’s favorite, too. I love so many Disney characters, classic and new, but Donald is special.

  10. My fave Disney character has always been and will always be Winnie the Pooh , I love that he is plump and happy and so sweet and simple – just makes me wish the whole world was a sweet 🙂

  11. Oh these are dear! I love Chip-N-Dale, but I think my favorite Disney character is probably a tie between Sebastian and Ursula from The Little Mermaid. What can I say – I’m a complicated woman.

  12. Thanks for the pattern. My husband who is 77 years old has fond memories of Gus Gus from when he was a child. I think I will make Gus Gus for him.

  13. I love all Disney characters. However my favorite is Goofy!!! He’s not the smartest or the most graceful, But his heart is always in the right place. He is the epitome of a true friend.

  14. I love many Disney characters, but one of my favorites is Donald Duck. He’s always in some kind of trouble and portrays what normal people would like to do when they get mad, simply explode, but he does it in a way that everybody laughs around him. He’s really authentic and charismatic but has a strong temper which I feel identified with 😉

  15. My favorite Disney character is Mickey Mouse. I like them all but he is my favorite. When my mom and dad adopted me this was something my mom got me into, it was our thing a bond between us. So for my birthday or Christmas my mom would buy me stuff with Mickey Mouse on it. As a matter of fact my mom is the one who helped me pick out my first tattoo and yup it’s Fantasia Mickey Mouse lol. I do need to get a touch up done on it yet but I love it.

  16. My favorite Disney character is Figment the Dragon!! He’s purple and doesn’t realize that he shouldn’t exist! And he’s cute.

  17. Oh my gosh- these patterns are so detailed and recognizable as the characters. Chip and Dale are my favorite! I loved watching Rescue Rangers when I was little, after getting home from school- that block of Rescue Rangers, Gummi Bears, TaleSpin, DuckTales was the best.

  18. Dumbo is my favorite Disney character. He’s my favorite animal and he does the impossible even though he has physical challenges, emotional trauma and still overcomes!

  19. I’ve always been partial to Pluto. He always gave Goofy such a hard time, and I felt as if I could just feel his energy.

  20. Mickey Mouse no doubt. This is so cool and i would love to surprise my son with his favorite character on our trip to WDW later this year.

  21. I have always liked the Siamese cats (and their song) from Lady and the Tramp, even though by today’s standards they are incredibly stereotypical and racist.

  22. My favorite Character would have to be Sleeping beauty. My poppa and I used to watch it when I was a little girl and i’ve kept the tradition going with our little girl. ❤

  23. Favourite Disney character is Tinkerbell. She never gives up, loves to create, is sweet and combative, doesn’t let anyone else’s opinion get to her and can make the best out of a bad situation. Everything I’d like to be,

  24. Belle. Because she likes books. I love Beauty and the Beast because they grow into loving each other instead of it being love at first site. Also, in a way, it’s Belle that saves the Beast, and that was always awesome to me.

Though, I do have to say that Anna from Frozen is a very close second lately due to that she totally not perfect and goofy.

  25. I love so many Disney characters but my favorite is ” Pinocchio ” He’s a puppet of course but his life is surrounded with wrongs and rights. He lies He’s kind but he learns to adapt to his new found life .He’s a kid and we all know it was easy sometimes and other times we had a lesson to learn.Cause life is a lesson Pinnocchio who learned a hard lesson

  26. I’ve always loved Goofy. I remember watching his “instructional” cartoons as a kid. He may not have done it the “right” way, but in the end he got the same results and probably had more fun as well.
