When I’m making a gift for one the many adorable kids in my life, I tend to prefer crochet over knitting. There are few reasons for this, but mainly, it’s because crochet is quick (and they grow so fast) and a great way to get creative!
So I have to tell you how much I love Shelby Allaho & Ellen Gormley’s new book, “Crocheting Clothes Kids Love.” It has 28 colorful and fun patterns for clothing and accessories that will really help you capture your little one’s bright personality! I’m especially excited because so many of these patterns were designed with Berroco yarns!
Check them out:

I love crocheting for my girls because they are totally honest if they like it or not….. generally they love everything regardless of how hideous it is
There are many reasons why I love it….First of all, the small sizes mean that the projects can be completed quickly. Also, the finished projects are so adorable! Last — & certainly not least — it’s wonderful to see the little ones wearing or using the finished items.
I love crocheting for kids because the colors are so much fun, adults are just not as brave 😀
I have crocheted all my life. I especially enjoy making items for children. They love it. I made my children sweaters as they grew up. Then my grandchildren. It is an item that they will never find at a store. Plus you put your love into it.
I love to crochet for my grandchildren, especially small toys, dolls and headbands. Thanks for the giveaway!
I would love to give this book to a friend who has 3 grand daughters living with her and she loves to crochet.
I loved making things for my children and now I do it for my great-nephews.
I love to crochet flowers and leaves to add to my knitted head bands for kids.
Love to crochet…..
I love crocheting for kids because the projects go so quickly and turn out so cute.
Crocheting itself is fast, and crocheting for children size is even faster! The results are also cute to look at. They also make nice presents that people usually appreciate.
I love to crochet for kids because they have an original sweater or hat that is only made for them and they appreciate it so much and it brings smiles to their faces and makes me happy.
I love to crochet for kids because the kids find it exciting that I can actually make something from a just piece of yarn and they show interest as the piece progresses. When it is done, the kids are thrilled and can’t wait to have the item. It’s also nice to know that the item will be so loved and appreciated! One of my favorite times was when my nephew asked if I remembered the slippers I made for him when he was young, then he asked if I could make those for adults and would make him a pair. Twenty plus years later and he still remembered how much he liked his slippers!
I’m so happy to have won this great book :Crocheting Clothes Kids Love and the yarn to make this darling skirt! I can’t wait till it all arrives! Thank you all very much! I’m sooooo excited 🙂 !!!!
Congratulations! Thanks for following our blog!
Kids items are the cutest. My daughters look so cute with various crochet items
I love to crochet for really young kids because it creates a special item that the parents can use for a little bit and then treasure for a long time later. However, what I most loved about the designs in this particular book is that they can be easily adapted to work for adult style as well!
I just love crocheting for anyone!
Crochet is a great teacher of fiber arts dreaming, daring and DOING! I can be creative WITH my granddaughter…we try a little wild color, a fun stitch here, an embellishment there… and if it doesn’t work out, we’re able to quickly back up and try again.
Crochet lets me dream, dare and create WITH my granddaughter! We can try a new stitch, an embellishment, a zany something and if it doesn’t work out, we can quickly take off in another direction!
I love crocheting for kids because it motivates my 7 year old granddaughter! She wants to learn to crochet this summer. I love projects that I can finish quickly. Several of the the crocheted baby blankets I’ve made have become “the blankie” for the babies I gifted to.
You can custom-fit as you go — and it’s quick
Kids’ items are cute and small, so they are finished quicker. Thanks for the giveaway!
I love seeing the happy expression on my daughter’s face when I finish a project for her, makes me want to do in again! And since I crochet faster than I knit, I crochet more.
I like crocheting for kids because they love all the mixed up colorful colors
I love to do it because it makes them happy.
It’s so much easier to go crazy with colors when crocheting for kids.
Please it’s the best excuse to make toys (I’m crocheting some giraffes for my nieces at the moment) ! 😉
Love the yellow colors! I just taught myself to crochet n am now a Yarnaholic & Crochetaholic…lol. Kids things are just so darn cute. I love making things for my grandkids.& my goal this year is to make all my gifts. I have a goal to crochet stuffed animals & give to my local domestic violence and/or police dept, for the kids in that scared position. Thank u for this great giveaway n good luck to all (:
They love wearing something that was handmade especially for them.
They get such a delight out of it. That is especially what you want when something is handmade.
I love putting a smile on my niece’s face.
I like crocheting for kids because I feel free-er to use bright, happy, spontaneous colors…and that makes me very happy. When I crochet for kids I always envision them being so happy with the items…but I am always wondering if they will like it or not if I’m crocheting for adults.
Handmade baby clothes and kit are beautiful
