The Berroco Spring launched in January featuring 3 new yarns for 2016 and a collection of new patterns to go with them. Here in the northeast United States, temperatures have settled in to seasonal norms (high today of 28F) and I’m more anxious to start new projects that will keep me cozy while I knit then I am to day dream about summer vacation.

We like to joke that there’s a dividing line of color preferences in the design office. Amy and Emily are metaphorically (and physically, with our desk arrangement) on one side with their love of neutrals and classic earth tones, while Alison and I prefer jewel tones (Alison even has a pink streak in her hair) and follow a the-brighter-the-better philosophy.
It can be hard to judge personality from a single photograph, but we knew immediately that Pat Philbin could work it in front of the camera! Since she also lives nearby, Pat and Norah were able to meet up prior to our What to Knit shoot for an afternoon shopping trip. They picked up a few fun wardrobe pieces to complement both Pat’s personal style and Norah’s designs. Read more
The first thing I noticed about Cambria was her height. Of course, it didn’t help that she was standing next to Norah! Cambria had warned us about her 6 ft frame before agreeing to be our What to Knit model, but we were up to the challenge and confident that a number of our new patterns would look great on her.
