Happy February everyone! Midwinter always hits me as sort of a slog. Cabin fever sets in and all the projects I’ve been working on start feeling like they’re taking forever. The spring and summer things I want to make are feeling a little out of reach still. Sometimes a quick silly project can make all the difference.

December has flown by with work, friends and creative projects. I love the holidays so much, but this year I haven’t had the time to decorate my home. I didn’t even get around to finding the perfect tree until late last night. I got home from a long day of work and holiday worries and knew a Christmas tree was just the thing to lift my spirits. My boyfriend and I brought it home and decorated it. Our tree is perfect, smelling of fresh pine and sparkling with colorful, twinkling lights. Read more
It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of playful embellishments. I’m tempted to add fringe to everything! Needless to say, I loved the colorful pom pom that’s sewn to the top of last week’s free pattern, Rist. I have been curious about making a color blocked pom pom and this design gave me the motivation to try. Read more
