When I first opened Amy’s book, New American Knits, I fell in love with the Van Der Zee Cloche immediately. I quickly added it to my queue on Ravelry and anxiously waited for the time to knit it. Although the yarn Amy used in her book is beautiful, I chose Berroco Abode  in color #8802 (pattern requires 2 skeins) for my hat. Abode is perfect for the pattern! It has beautiful color variation and is incredibly soft, made of 100% merino wool.  Read more

Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting Spinning Yarns in New Hampshire for a day. I got to know Margot (the owner), Kerri, and Dianna (Margot’s mom!). It was so wonderful! I joined in on their morning class where everyone brought the project they were working on. All of the knitters were helping each other and sharing ideas.
