I love change, it’s exciting and stimulating – energizing, even….BUT sometimes when you are used to doing something a particular way, especially when it comes to computers, something new can slow you down. I’m thinking about the pattern search on our new (well, 6 month old) website.
While we are not slaves to fashion, the Berroco Design team likes to be in touch with what’s happening on the runway – to see new silhouettes, proportions and details, like necklines. I’ve taken some screen shots on two of my favorite fashion sites to illustrate what kinds of ideas we are looking at and the ideas we might be gleaning from them.
While I missed out on having babies of my own, in my 40s I was lucky enough to marry a man with three grown children. I am now very happily “Grandma Norah” to three little ones, and there are two more on the way! How could I not think about knitting for babies? Read more
In March and April I managed to carve out some time to visit a few New England yarn shops. Andra, the area’s sales rep, and I traveled with a trunk show of sweaters in a variety of sizes and encouraged knitters to try them all on. It’s a fun, party-like atmosphere with sweaters and compliments flying freely from knitter to knitter. We’ve done this a bit in the past, and there are always surprises. Read more
