Norah’s Knits: A Walk in the Woods for Inspiration

I spent most of last weekend knitting, knitting and knitting until I couldn’t knit any more.  I was compelled to knit just one more piece for my next volume (that’s Norah Gaughan vol 13). Next week is the big photo shoot, and all of my knitters were busy with other items for our Fall/Winter booklets. Besides, I really wanted to knit this one.   Read more

We’re two weeks away from our BIG week of photography for our BIG season – Fall.  Amanda, Brenda and I have been sketching, swatching and sending instructions to knitters for a couple of months now, at an increasingly frantic rate. At this point, my brain is fried! I can’t think of knitting anything unless it is easy. Read more

Turns out though, that we just can’t stopping working – and that work in the design department can be fun. Read more

Norah’s Knitting: Wool & Alpaca Sweaters and Other Early Knitting Adventures

My love of natural fibers came early. The first sweater I ever knit was made from wool yarn I bought at the county fair. Creamy white, right off the sheep, and soaked in its own natural lanolin, the yarn had an aroma I love to this day. Read more
