Knitter’s Spotlight: Wink Pattern

Wink by Knittn4fun

Pre-knitted yarns are a big trend this year.  They look cool and they tend to be a quick knit.  That’s the case with our free pattern Wink, which is knit with Berroco Link.

It’s an easy scarf pattern that makes for a great beginner knitting project.  If you can knit & purl, cast on & bind off, you’re good to go.  You’ll have a beautiful handmade scarf in minutes.

Knittn4Fun was looking for instant gratification when she made Wink and that’s exactly what she got.  It only took her 29 minutes from start to finish!  Here’s what she had to say about the project.

Why did you want to make this pattern?

I’m always looking for a cute scarf to toss over a fleece or under a coat when I head out the door.  I also love chunky knits, and thought this scarf was super cute.

Who did you make it for?

I made it for me.  I do have two more balls in reserve for last minute gift giving.

Any funny stories about your process?

My cat was convinced that the pile of yarn next to me as I knit was a bed for him, so that made for interesting knitting as I chased him away from it. He now likes the scarf, though, too.

What do you think of the finished product?

I love it.  I’ve gotten several compliments on it already. It’s VERY warm, and just the right length to wrap around my neck once and then tie underneath.

How long have you been knitting?

I’ve been knitting for 5 years now.
