Independent Patterns, September Edition
September is here – the school buses are back and the mornings are definitely getting cooler. Sometimes that little chill in the air is all it takes to get inspired to start a new knitting project… But a great new pattern helps, too! I’ve pulled together some fun fall project ideas from independent designers using our yarns.
Then there’s the Park Ave Cardigan from Kelly Daniels. Knit in Vintage DK, this classic cardigan features deep ribbed trims and a generously sized collar. This is a perfect garment for layering as the weather turns colder:
For the younger set, there’s this adorable shawl collar cardigan pattern, Arlo & Alice by Elizabeth Smith. Knit in Vintage Chunky and sized from newborn up until 8 years, the pattern offers two different stripe patterns and an optional patch pocket:
If you’re looking for a project for a new baby, check out the Sun Bonnet Sue Baby Blanket from Linda Gavaldon. Worked in Comfort, this pattern features a textural design and is edged in an eyelet pattern:
Last but not least, we have this intriguing blanket design called the Layer Cake Blanket by Larissa Brown. The tilting short rows add an unusual texture, and Comfort’s huge shade range offers loads of interesting color possibilities:
We’re always so happy when independent designers use our yarns – can’t wait to see what they’ll do next!
