Dr. Sherry,

1. For a short row wrap it's the point were you turnaround and go back to the beginning marker. It's not a decrease, when you knit the following row you will pick up the wrapped stitch and knit it with the stitch that you wrapped it around.(check glossary)
2. With yarn in front(wyif) slip 2 stitches and continue, don't knit them together. Just do as the instructions read and you will see the the pattern evolve eventually.
You are reading too much into the pattern, just do as it is written.

I love your patterns! I have bought Vol. 3 and am working on #8 Linear in a most attractive Aussie alpaca yarn. I am a knitter from way bacj but there are a couple of instructions I am unable to follow.
1) Is the short row wrap stich meant as a decrease? I do not understand it from your instructions - I would appreciate an explanation. Since you do not give #'s of stiches after the wraps - I am confused.
2) What is a wyif with a slip 2 do? Do you put the yarn in front take the two slipped stiches and knit them together? It then becames a decrease - isa this what you intend?

I would really like some help since I'd like to get the rest of your
books but cannot make sense of these instructions .. Thank you

Of course, I haven't actually cast on for this yet, but I have been watching them grow on Ravelry and can't wait to see the finished product. YAY!
