I like the godet idea , however the sketch of the double godets reminds me of two low hanging breasts. They're going to get there anyway, no need to emphasize them.

Keep up the good work, I love your original designs.

Good grief----------- Norah that is amazing. I took the afternoon off today (the weather was too splendid not to) and sat on the porch while the dogs played. I sat with "Knitting Nature", this of course means that I have even more respect and awe for you.

Y'know..............."THE" :) Norah Gaughan!

A friend of mine met you at TNNA and that was the first thing she told me when she got home from her trip! Made me smile!

Yes Tina - 100% hand knit! I spend my knitting time on the tricky bits and working out pattern stitches.

As always you are inspiring, amazing, etc.

Your design process is so great to watch! When it comes time to execute a design are they 100% hand knit? And by yourself or the quintessential army?

Fascinating!

In our culture people will associate the circular piece hanging below a linear edge as an inspiration from a brassiere. And I'm not sure that there's anything wrong with that! I love the insert & I'm sure the designer, Gautier who did Madonna's sexy bra tops would love it too. Thank you for sharing some of the design process with us. It is so interesting to see!

I too appreciate insight into your process. I have just received Vol 3 and can not adjust to the round insert into some of the more linear pieces. Feels like a push to insert this circular, fussy piece against a linear, architectural form. Maybe I'm struggling with the weight of the lace motif? It appears stiff (pictorally) and your pieces always have a flow and drape along with complex nuances and demonstrate knitting design 'riffs' that I've researched and enjoyed for years. But I respect to each their own taste and design process. Maybe if I could touch it or see it in action? Ah, yes, the video slideshow - haven't checked that out yet....that would probably help me.

Your designs always reflect and require a thinking knitter. Thank you for providing that to this art form!

I am loving this peek into your design process! And at the same time as I look at your sheets feeling ever do disorganized!
As I also watched your latest video slideshow for booklet 279 (keep doing these slide shows they are great) one question kept coming to mind. I was wondering how far ahead do you prepare these designs for the booklets? The way you both spoke of the designs in the slideshow they sounded like, well, old friends!
